Move-In Day for New Students
Move-In Date: August 25, 2025
Housing Assignments and Move-In Information
- Incoming graduate students will receive their housing assignment in mid-May.
- Incoming freshmen will receive their housing assignment in early July.
- By mid-summer, both freshmen and graduate students will receive:
- Their assigned move-in time
- A packing list with guidance on what to bring (and what not to bring)
- Detailed move-in day instructions
Your New Mailing Address
As you prepare to live on campus, we encourage you to share your new mailing address with friends and family.
If you plan to ship items to yourself in advance, please follow these guidelines:
- Do not ship belongings before August 12
- Limit your shipments to two large boxes before arrival
- Once on campus, you may ship additional items as needed

Home to nearly 600 student musicians, Andersen Hall is a vibrant residential community directly connected to MSM’s main building at 130 Claremont Avenue. Designed to support both academic and artistic success, Andersen Hall provides a welcoming and enriching environment for students from around the world.
